hi i am in the process of taking my pre science courses to be able to enter a RN program. my problem is that i have 8 withdrawals but non are from my science courses. i have taken my ananomy and physiology class and have received and A on both class and lab. do i have a chance on geting accepted even though i have so many withdrawals in other courses. my current GPA is a 3.4
I think that question would be better asked to the school you are trying to get into.

My opinion doesn't mean squat but I do think you have a chance. For many schools, they only look at if you have the pre-reqs and the grades. Good luck!

You might be able to get it, you have good grades, you didnt fail, you only withdrew, which in my opinion looks way better than a failure. Im pretty sure that they'll understand that people have lives, and with a normal life, comes normal problems. Good Luck.

That is a good GPA. It does matter what school you want to go to. Not a problem for community colleges. Most of the time the just look at your grades not the withdraw. Good luck.Quote from prayin 2 b a rnhi i am in the process of taking my pre science courses to be able to enter a RN program. my problem is that i have 8 withdrawals but non are from my science courses. i have taken my ananomy and physiology class and have received and A on both class and lab. do i have a chance on geting accepted even though i have so many withdrawals in other courses. my current GPA is a 3.4

Where I am from, "Withdrawals" were only counted against the applicant in the core science pre-reqs. There is a composite score formula used to weed out applicants. It is best to consult a nursing counselor at the nursing school you plan on applying to.

Comment:
it's gonna depend on the program, some don't look at withdrawal, others do.
