It's called skeletal traction. Buck's traction is an external form of traction.

I agree with torture...lol..sorry..Looks like its traction, not a ortho test,thats for sure. Looks like its Bucks traction to me.

If that's a pin on the inside of the knee it's skeletal tx. Buck's tx is external.

Ebear, thanks for providing Steinman pins. It's been at least 100 years since I did any orthopedics and I knew those things had a name I just couldn't remember what.
