Ortho testRating: (votes: 10) http://www.shareapic.net/content.php...wner=cutenurse Disclaimer: I'm not an Ortho Nurse, but I BELIEVE this type of traction is termed Buck's Traction.(I'm gonna check back on this thread to read what somebody who knows what they're talking about answers.)Dave Comment:
Torture
Comment:
It's called skeletal traction. Buck's traction is an external form of traction.
Comment:
I agree with torture...lol..sorry..Looks like its traction, not a ortho test, thats for sure. Looks like its Bucks traction to me.
Comment:
If that's a pin on the inside of the knee it's skeletal tx. Buck's tx is external.
Comment:
Skeletal traction with Steinman pin.
Comment:
A test? Isn't this cheating?
Comment:
that is not buck's traction
Comment:
Ebear, thanks for providing Steinman pins. It's been at least 100 years since I did any orthopedics and I knew those things had a name I just couldn't remember what.
Comment:
Well, okay, maybe we're not just playing a game here, ladiesman. Cheating on a test? Disgusting!
Comment:
