ACLS protocol update?

I am a senior nursing student preparing to take my first ACLS course next month. I was able to borrow a book and CD from my hospital library, but it's the 2006 edition, based on 2005 AHA guidelines. I know they update the books every 5 years but I haven't been able to find anything detailing the changes that have been made since 2005. Could someone point me in the right direction? I'd rather not pay $50 for the new book if this one is "good enough".

The instructors will go over the changes (we didn't have the new book either). The differences I remember are instead of ABC, it is CAB....and something with certain drugs not being used during certain rhythms anymore.

I think the new changes take effect in June or July. The current book is "good enough." As RNlovesherPharm said, the instructors will go over key changes. You sould get some handouts from the instructors before the class covering key points.

Thanks! I know the first day is all lectures anyways, but wanted to get a head start on my reading. It's a lot more intense than I expected so I'm glad to get started early.

I just finished ACLS today; we were taught to the new guidelines. We used the old book for the basics, but we had the new algorithms...
