The biggest thing I am thankful for is that I finally got into the nursing program this year.I am also thankful for the instructors who have taught me this semester, especially my pharmacology teacher. I look forward to having her again, whenever that may be.

I'm thankful for coworkers who come running when you hit the button and say, "I need some help in here!"I'm thankful for the honor to be present at the passing of a soul who's reached the natural end of their days, when the family allows the person to pass peacefully from this world to the next (as opposed to "code'm till they glow").I'm thankful for coworkers and friends who are there when you've had a bad night and need to vent, cry, cuss, pray or all of the above.I'm thankful for the patient or family member who stops to say "thank you."I'm thankful for the doc who told me, "You're a good nurse."I'm thankful that my mom and sister survived cancer, my dad survived his MI, and that my brother in law is hopelessly in love with my sister, God help him.I'm thankful for the kids in Sunday school who hug my neck and tell me they love me.I'm thankful that I have a job where I make a difference. I'm thankful that I'm here to be able to make a difference.I'm thankful for VivaLasVegas, Oramar, Leslie, Susannah, and all the others who make me break out in a smile when I see they've posted something.I'm also thankful for the "ignore" button I'm thankful that Brian brought all of us together. THANK YOU BRIAN!:luvnltr:

I am thankful for the most incredibly supportive husband who has made my "job" of being a nursing student as easy as it can possibly be.

1. The love and support of my husband. At age 48 I decided to go back to nursing school. If all goes well I will graduate in May. I couldn't have done it with his help and support.2. My 2 kids that I love dearly and drive me crazy.3. Good health and insurance.4. The nurses that I work with at the free clinic. I volunteer one day a week and these 2 ladies have taught me so much about life and nursing. They have been retired for several years but they give back to the community every day.5. For family and friends.

I am thankful for:1. Medical technology, for without it, my daughter would never have been born, and I would have died while I was pregnant.2. My family, as they have supported me so much these last few years. I went back to nursing school at the age of 35, and graduated in the top 5 of my class. I couldn't have done any of it without their love and support.3. That I passed the boards on the first try--otherwise I think I might have gone stark-raving mad and taken my family with me.4. That I got an RN job almost immediately after graduating. 5. My wonderful team of nurses and aides that I work with. They rock! 6. That my DON is kind and listens to you, and not evil like some of the bosses you hear about on this site.7. My beautiful home, and that I now have the ability to help contribute to its upkeep. My first paychecks bought a new furnace. 8. That I live in a part of the world that I can look out my back window and watch the hawk soaring above the trees, the fox playing in the back woods, or the deer that want to come and eat my plants.9. For friends that listen and help me to laugh at myself. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone!
