to email or not to email my instructor about my grade...Rating: (votes: 0) Should i email her? what should i say? ( i dont want to sound like im truely begging) It can't hurt to try. Good luck! Comment:
First and foremost I'm very sorry that you did not pass the class. AP is very challenging and I'm sure you studied hard. Now for the tough love- begging your teacher for a passing grade is not the way to go. You failed by two points and I'm sorry for that, however you need to get up, dust yourself off, and prepare to take the class again in the fall.In nursing school there is no rounding. If someone gets a 74.9999 instead of the passing 75 they will fail. When taking NCLEX you can't beg for a passing score either.Besides you want a grade knowing that you earned it instead of begging for it. If you feel the questions are tricky you can also use your text book to back up your claim. Keep your head up. I'm sure it is devastating now that you were so close. This too shall pass. Good luck and keep us posted.

In addition, are there any other local community colleges where you can apply and do AP there that your school will except?I did a prereq at another CC for the summer and it transferred to where I was taking my nursing school. You may have a better chance at taking it else where during the summer than to beg your teacher for the grade.

Explain your situation and ask to maybe write a paper or something. A lot of times people don't get things simply because they did not ask. Offer to DO something instead of just begging for the points. Myabe you'll get them just for offering. I think asking is being proactive not pathetic. Good luck.

I would offer to do an extra credit project. If that doesn't work try and take it again ASAP while the info is still fresh.

I would email them, the worst they can say is no. I'm sure you understand that you can't ask for extra points on the NCLEX, and if it's just two points difference, it's not our place to tell you if you feel ready to move on from the class or if you need to retake it- it's the teacher and you....

I agree. Email the teacher and see what happens. Hopefully you have learned a valuable lesson about studying. Good luck!

I suggest calling the teacher instead of emailing, and definitely offering to do extra work as others suggest. No harm in trying. I do think a phone call shows a little more courage & initiative, and you most likely can't afford to wait for an email response since the teacher may post grades very soon to your transcript.

Absolutely not, you failed and should accept your grade, why should the teacher give you extra points and not the other students?
