I've heard reports that if people eat honey made from the flowers near where they live, it can help allergies.

Fresh aloe vera (break open the actual plant) on a burn turned me into a believer about that remedy! I tried it only to get my long-haired hippie freak friend to stop pestering me. A homecare patient tells me about "herb tea that makes her poop" I was skeptical. Tea was made with crushed Cassia Angustifolia (Senna). senna= Senokot!!

The power of ordinary salt and hot water as a gargle or a soak has always amazed me.

Aloe Vera rocks! I slathered a ton of it on my sunburn today.Tea trea is good for acne. My son swears by it for his zits.Any natural remedies for dandruff that work?

Dandruff? Try an aspirin shampoo!According to MayoClinic.com, possible causes for dandruff include sensitivity to hair care products, shampooing too frequently or infrequently, eczema, and psoriasis. The most common dandruff treatment is medicated shampoo. However, those who prefer natural home remedies may find that adding crushed aspirin to your shampoo can do the trick. Aspirin contains salicylates, the same active ingredient in medicated shampoos containing salicylic acid.Take as much shampoo as you use each time you shampoo, (capful?) add two crushed aspirin tablets, leave on hair for a couple minutes, then rinse out completely. Works great!
