We really can't give medical advice.......most pregnacy books say really no meds in the first trimester. I really found that even though I was a nurse I enjoyed the "What to expect when you are expecting" series......I was an ER nurse "I knew nothing about birthin no babies"....Check with pharmacy but chemo is usually not allowed or x-rays and I would let other people tackle the combative drunk for a few months......mostly everyone understands. Chemo precautions is about the only thing I can think of. I work on a med/surg/tele floor and we have a pregnant RN and her only precaution is chemo.

I dont think u should be worried about anything major as a tele RN. My wife worked thoughtout her pregnancy as a Tele RN until days before she gave birth to our youngest (she broke her bag while we were shopping lol but thats another story). So yea I should say its pretty safe. And gratz on the baby

When I was a patient on an oncology floor that also had tele patients (I was one!), there were 2 pregnant staff that I know of- one RN, and one patient care tech (PCT). I don't remember either saying they had restrictions (but asking your doc would be good ). I had chemo hanging for 8 straight days (hung in the morning each day), and the injectable (daunirubicin) was done in the morning- I know that a couple of the nurses were working on their chemo certs, so other nurses would hang/give the chemo -- probably did for the preggys as well.... I don't remember any of them not being able to come in because of the tele.....
