need help please! thought daughter was bit by something

my daughter thought she was bitten on her ankle and it lookslike a mosquito bite. her ankle is veryred in the area around the bite, hot and tender to the touch. last night she wascrying and sweating, very ill. she wascovered in sweat but was shivering. she was very pale, almost blue in places,and there are red patches on her legs. what does she have? is it dangerous?

I don't think anyone can diagnose this kind of thing on a discussion forum. Best advice is that she see a medical professional who can treat whatever this is, and ASAP!!!
