Triage explaining test results to patients...

Saw an ad the other day. The office was looking for an MA and asking if they were good at OBGYN triage and explaining test results to patients... eek.
St. Mary's hospital in Long Beach came up with the idea that the housekeeping staff could double as providing mom-baby care to the visitors. Take out the trash, pick up a baby, bring it around to play with...it's ALL about money. This was in 85' by the way. Lasted a week.

Wow. It is my understanding that in some states, in some MD offices, the PCP can choose anyone they would like to speak for them, determines scope, etc.I, however, wouldn't want to be the licensed nurse in that circumstance. Too much of a grey area if the MA were to be incorrect.
