Which is better?Rating: (votes: 0) Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com You need to figure in all the other things like benefits and wages. But... where do you live??? If snow or extreme winter weather affects you, that might make a difference, esp if your car isn't too reliable. Comment:
how long is the commute? And I agree, you'll need to factor in other things like amoLucia mentioned.

The closer job is 34/hr, no benefits, floor work, but less then 1 mile away. The other job is teaching, 39/hr with benefits, way less stress, full benefits. Honestly, I don't mind the floor most days but it can get hard some days, but it's only 2-3 shifts per week versus 5 easy half days...,Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

Quote from OCRN3Which is better? Having a 12 hour shift job no flexibility versus a very easy flexible Job?
Comment:
Easy as in I get home not tired, after 12 I'm done.Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com

I love 12s too to get the job over and have my week free and it is satisfying. But sometimes it is a bit much for me, I love the floor for all the right reasons, but lately I feel that management has taken what I love to add more paperwork and nonsense to the job and they add less to patient care.Sent from my iPhone using allnurses.com
