Help! New RN trying to get into Northshore-LIJ

I really want to get into northshore-lij but have no luck applying from their not so updated career website. Does anyone know of any contacts that I can use? Any help is much appreciated !
North Shore LIJ is on a hiring freeze to accommodate the displaced nurses from St. Vincent's Hospital that recently closed. How do I know? Because I went in person to try to apply. TWO TIMES. They don't accept resumes in person so I was rudely handed a card and told to go online. When I went back roughly 3 weeks later I got the same answer. Apply online only and it makes no sense because they're on a hiring freeze and will not accept any outside applicants. For how long? They couldn't tell me. Ugh.

layna, I went in person as well and they brushed me off =( No point of them being at job fairs also... they will just hand you a card & a stupid plastic pen and tell you to go apply online. I have been actively going on their website to apply but they don't update often!

Yea, I've given up on them. The thing that makes me the most upset is that their system has about 10 hospitals! Which takes 10 hospitals off the list that I can apply to. Not only that, they just bought Lenox Hill Hospital in the city so they're spreading like a virus....grrr.....

Tried getting into their nurse fellowship program (there's one for ER and ICU). Sometimes you need an "in" to get an interview. Know anyone already working there? Best of luck, I hope you will find a way.
