Managing chronic small wet wounds

We have experience of NPWT devices and are using these for our larger wounds / ulcers. These are hard to come by and also hard to justify for smaller wounds because of the expense.
We are seeing lots of smaller wounds coming through that are really wet, our dressings/bandages are getting soaked and we are spending a lot of time carrying out daily dressing changes. I had one patient that must have been losing about 150ml of Exudate a day !

Is any one else experiencing similar experiences?
Vacuum devices work very well on these, even when they are small. That is an extreme amount of effluent, even for a moderately sized wound. If these are on a lower leg, then the legs should be wrapped, and, of course, elevated.

Comment:
What would be a normal amount of effluent that you'd catch in your vacuum devices?
