IHS Loan Repayment

I just graduated nursing school this summer, and started working at an IHS facility. I was wondering if anyone had any experience applying for and receiving the IHS loan repayment. How long was the process, and how long did it take for the payments to kick in. I submitted my application for the LRP, and followed up by sending in the requested documents. Thanks in advance!
I can't say specifically about the loan repayment program, but from years of working with the IHS I can tell you that EVERYTHING there takes forever - much longer than other hospitals and longer than even other government entities I've worked with.Be patient, but keep checking back with the person responsible - say once a month or so and go up the chain of command if necessary.
