First Aid Kits

Looking to purchase a non-mediocre first aid kit to put in my vehicle for travel and in case of emergencies. Not looking to put it together piece by piece, although, some instruments I have acquired through work. Anyone have suggestions and personal experience?
What type of first aid are you looking to perform and what possible instruments would you need?The only "first aid" you should be performing "in case of emergencies" is applying pressure to a bleeding wound, MAYBE a splint to a frature, CPR and calling 911.

Walmart less than $5. All you need 2x2, band aids, tape, 4x4s gauze. Gloves. Leave everything else to EMS. Charger for cell phone to call 911.

AAA has roadside safety and first aid combination kits.

I keep a few bandaids in a box. Anything serious, then I am using my cell phone to call for emergency services. I once kept a more well-stocked unused kit in my car, but the southern summer heat and cool winters damage things left in cars. Plastics have a way of melting.

depends on where you live. Areas with heavy snow might need sand and blankets. My sister has a long stick to poke gators off the road. Not a problem where I live though

I live in the north where we get extreme temps like this past week with wind chills factoring in at -27 degrees. Just like to be prepared. Got a nice put together set of tools. Have blankets, but am looking for a put together kit of supplies for basic wound care, triage, and winter weather survival.
