Acupuncture?

If a patient asks you if acupuncture hurts, what do you say to them? I know that you shouldn't tell them that something doesn't hurt 'cause you never know how they'd feel about it themselves...
Have you ever had acupuncture? If so, you could tell them about your experience and how it felt to you. I have never had it, so I would tell them that, and also tell them that because a very small needle is inserted into the skin, that I imagine it would probably feel like a little pinch at the site of insertion.

From experience, most acupuncture does not hurt...but sometimes if the needle hits a real "hot" spot it can. Usually the pain resolves, if not, the acupuncturist will remove it. My very first acupuncture treatment was for a migraine. The person asked me if I could lie down and I was afraid to because of the nausea. After the 4th needle I don't remember much other than waking up about 20 minutes later lying down and my headache gone!
