waste disposal in a renovated ICU

Hello,
I'm looking for feedback on installing macerators or flusher disinfector units in patient rooms(no washroom in the patient room) in a coming ICU redevelopment.
All comments and advice welcome!
Appreciate comments on :
Noise level
Length of runtime
Effect on older building plumbing
Is the unit in the room or in a closet of the pt room.
