maybe im being paranoid...Rating: (votes: 0) I have no words. I'm sorry, I really don't know how to respond to this post in a kind way. Comment:
Quote from eternalbrideI was in what i will call a conference with other colleagues. We were seated (in close proximity) around a oval table, and each had a water bottle. At the end of the meeting, everyone was leaving. i was reaching down to get my bottle of water and realized that there was another like 5 inches away from my water. Maybe its my imagination running away with me, but i may have been drinking up someone elses water bottle without realizing it. Thinking back, the water did seem to have a taste, but i attributed this to the plastic itself. Should i be worried?

There are a ton of things to worry about. Why limit yourself to drinking out of someone else's water bottle? Think Big!

Drink lots of alcohol... it'll kill the germs

Not unless you suspect the person has a contagious disease, like herpes on the lips.

if your face starts to rot off and your son turns into a green gray pallor and you have an insatiable urge to eat flesh, then yes, you need to worry.

I drank almost a whole bottled iced tea that I mistook for mine one time. I thought it was a little bit 'warm', and I'd just bought it from a refrigerated case down in the cafeteria. Anyway, so I remember something in the back part of the nurse's station and find another bottle of partially consumed iced tea, nice n cold, and my pen that I'd been looking for, too.The hard part was NO ONE admitted to owning the iced tea that I did drink. And it was evening shift, so it could have been sitting there all day long, or heck, two days? I have to admit, I immediately felt a bit ill . . . kind of like hearing about head lice and then your head starts to itch . . . I just tried to forget about it as hard as I could and since everyone KNEW about it, and continued to comment about it ("Hey, that one social worker with a giant cold sore on her lip? Doesn't she drink that kind of iced tea?" (my coworkers had a great time with it).

Start putting your name on your bottles. Or do like we used to back in the day and peel off the label...or part of the label....(but that was beers at parties, however....)Another thought is to bring your own re-usable bottle. (and to the ice tea drinker of a pp....I am wicked surprised that you coworkers did not bring in for you a re-usable bottle with glitter and stickers and such on it....and your name in shiny paint HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!)Seriously, Op, going forward just be sure you have a clearly labeled bottle of your own.
