Death bed visions

2 Hello everybody. I can not think of a better place to ask this questions other than a forum full of what I believe to be Gods angels in human form.

In your experience taking care of the injured and specificaly the dying, what are your thoughts and experiences regarding those ready to pass being able to see something just prior?

THere are so many accounts but from people and professions that dont fit the bill in terms of those qualified to answer this. In your opinion is there more after this? Aside of any religious beliefs do you on a personal level feel there is something else beyond?

Eric,I have seen it many times. Someone is getting ready to pass on, and they reach for someone they can see, but we can't. Or, the patient that couldn't communicate, suddenly does improve, can communicate, and becomes peaceful, and "ready." Family members have shown me this as well.My grandfather and aunt both showed me this also! My grandfather, who had Alzheimer's Disease, and knew no one just before his death-on the night of his death, suddenly remembered all his family members names, and said a prayer out loud to God about each family member. He was a God-fearing man, and had read the bible 7 times through.My aunt-I visited her the day of her passing. She passed later that night. I went through the door of her hospital room. Now, my aunt just earlier that day, could do nothing but mumble, and was a very sick lady. Well, after I entered the room, she sat up in bed, smiled like she was looking right through me, and said, "Look, daddy." My grandfather died the year before I was born, and my mom has always said that we would have dearly loved each other. I think my grandfather was surrounding me that day, and my aunt saw him, and was communicating with him.I know there is something special and breathtaking waiting for us on the other side. I have seen too many tired, worn faces relax and years taken away from their faces with their final breath. I saw both my grandmother and my daddy lose 20 years from their faces at death. They went "ready" and peacefully. I have seen it, and I have felt it. Nothing is more precious than knowing a soul has gone in peace, other than witnessing the birth of a baby. heartbeat:heartbeat

My mother, lying on her death bed, kept waving her arms in the air and pointing to the sky and saying "Aren't the Angels beautiful?" She passed peacefully early the next morning. She always told me she was ready to go home to Heaven and I believe this was for my benefit so that I would know that Angels were present at her passing.:heartbeat

I've seen numerous patients reaching out their hands in the direction of the sky.They seem to be wanting to go with someone but I don't see anyone in the room except me and these dying patients.It's also true that some of them suddenly become stronger before they breathe their last and some even were able to go home and die peacefully days after. I also had creepy experiences that I cannot forget.But I don't want to scare anyone so i'll just keep it to myself.I'm sure there are others who have experienced a mind-boggling episode during a stint with a dying or even dead patient.

My grandmother did the same thing. She was talking to someone we could not see. We asked mama who are you talking to? She said the angels....they have come to take me home. What a peaceful thing!

You should visit the web site www.iands.org. These people had near death experiences, and at times, they speak about death bed visions. I have not seen any patients experience this, however, I have met numerous people who have had NDEs. A fascinating phenomenon, and I believe in all of them wholeheartedly.

I believe (from my time involved with hospice patients and MI close to end patients) that people REALLY do see loved ones when they are close to death. If it's real or not, it doesn't matter. It is real to them.

I also have seen many of the beautiful peaceful scenes just described. But, (y'all knew it was coming, didn'y ya?) I saw one young man, early 20's, losing to cancer who woke up in the middle of the night SCREAMING at the top of his lungs "HE is coming to get me HE is coming to get me!!!!" We all rushed into the room and it was horrible. The pt was backed up into the corner (he was too weak earlier to make the bathroom, used a BSC), IVs out, blood everywhere and pointing to the crucifix on the wall and SCREAMING. As we tried to get him back in bed he grabbed a nurse by the throat and then...simply fell over with the most horrified look on his face and died(DNR/DNI). When the mortuary came and picked him up he still had that expression on his face. I believe in a peaceful afterlife...BUT...There is also a not peaceful one also...I think...

I had a pt once who was non-verbal and a total dependent for care. I walked into her room one shift and she thanked me for my kind care of her through out the past months. I later found out she had thanked everyone from housekeeping & laundry to the kitchen and Nursing staff. She passed within 12 hours of the last person she thanked. She managed to thank the entire staff on all 3 shifts!

for sure there is something else beyond. why do u think we are in this world?just to eat dirnk work.Every one will punsh and rewards for what did he do for entir his live.there is a live after this live.But where u will be?in haven or hell.

I have two, both from the early years of my career, when I was working night shift charge in LTC.The first was a very nice lady. She was obvioiusly dying. Several family members were around her bed. Two of them got into an argument, literally standing over the dying woman, yelling over top of her. I came into the room, and told them all to get out, this woman was dying and she didn't need that crap going on. All the family went out to the dining room. The daughter who had been there nearly continuously came to me in tears wanting to go back in. I let her come back in. She stood at the mother's bedside and apologized for all the yelling. The patient opened her eyes , reached her right hand upwards toward her left, smiled the most beautiful smile (think of an infertile woman who knows she is having twins is the best comparison I can think of), and very quietly, smilingly died. I have NEVER saw anyone look so happy and sweet as they passed.:angel2:Fast forward a few months. Another lady patient. Her DH a pt at the NH also. She has one son, states away. Suffers with frequent bouts of pleurisy and keeps going downhill slowly. Was a very prominent member of the community and church member all her life. The night before she died we had her in a recliner at the nurse's desk because she didn't want to be alone. She would scream out, "OH MY GOD!! THE DEVIL'S COMING FOR ME! HE'S GOING TO TAKE ME!" and did not stop all night. She was doing it when I left that morning, and she died that afternoon. The other nurses said she was screaming it up until the instant she passed.............
