please look at my resume...unique situation...Rating: (votes: 7) Thanks! Way to busy in my opinion, and hard to read... look for a simpler format!Annie Comment:
Agreed. Likely to get tossed. If you are applying in the facility they can access your reviews so the quotes are not necessary. Very busy and difficult to read or scan. Definitely does not pass the one minute glance test

Okay, thank you guys for the constructive criticism. I have reformatted it...thoughts on this one? Thanks so much! Allnurses rock

Your caregiver position 2008-2009, was that at home, in hospital?I would remove the word "current" from the first bullet point, and remove the second bullet point altogether.I would also give your manager the heads up that you will be applying and give her a copy of your resume so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

Bullet points can cause your resume to be rejected by the ATS resume parser. There is a very good article about all of this on the bluepipes.com blog as well as another article on how to write a new grad resume.I agree with the previous posters; the second version is much better. Do not lie on your resume and say you are enrolled in a BSN program. Get rid of that. One question, are you truly proficient with Cerner or would it be more accurate to say " Familiarity with Cerner-Citrix" ?

thanks for all the advice everyone! I really appreciate it. I took out the "planning to" stuff, on the advice of someone to include that stuff in a cover letter and not the resume. Thanks!!

thanks icuRNmaggie...I currently work on the unit and use Cerner-Citrix for charting all the aide stuff I do, and also many of my clinicals in nursing school used cerner-citrix so I feel honest in saying that I am proficient with it. Thanks though! I really appreciate all the advice! Sometimes you need another set of eyes

There are some really good resume templates that you can download and fill in with your own information! If you Google "resume templates" or "resume builder" there are tons of great resources you can use. Good luck!
