I've been doing hh about 2 years now. The job is easy but the family has 5 kids. The youngest is all over the place looking and staring. For some reason, he seems like he wants me to play with him but I'm not here for that. I'm here to take care of my 13 yr. old pt. the last nurse was here 8 yrs. & got too close & comfortable with the family, crossed their line & was fired. He's just a kid but I just want him to move along.
I'd have an open and frank discussion with the family about your concern. Tell them exactly what you just wrote, and indicate that you want crystal clear direction on where - exactly- the 'line' is located.
