TB exposures!

Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum!

Have anybody been exposed to an active form of Tuberculosis with no TB precautions ? Is it possible to get TB from passing near a coughing patient or is it necessary to be coughed directly at to catch TB ? Please share with me your experiences and thank you in advance!
