Can anyone recommend a good liability insurance company? I am a new grad and want to get this set up a.s.a.p. - just don't know who has good rates, etc.

Thanks!
Hi Karen ... is there a reason that you are so anxious to get liability insurance? In most cases, you are covered by your employer. Of course, there are many nurses that advocate getting liability insurance because the hospital insurance is focused on the interest of the hospital and not the nurse. Over the past 20 yers of nursing, I have never had the need to have liability insurance. I have been diposed 3 or more times and the cases settled before going to court. Of course, I was disposed but not the primary person involved in the lawsuit. I really have never give a thought to liability insurance. There are several companies out there. One that is used a lot is CNA. I am not sure what their web address is, but I know they advertise a lot in Nursing 2004 magazine. You might want to do a search there to start. Good luck.

try NSO. THey have really cheap rates for new grads, and the rates for after the 1st year post graduation aren't bad, either.

Would highly recommend the insurance through NSO. If I was working in the US right now, I would not be without it.
