What are the worst call in excuses you've heard?

2 I've heard some doozies for call INS to work. 1. Dog having puppies 2. I'm having a miscarriage when I could hear a party in the background 3. I'm tired 4. I worked yesterday 5. Out of gas 6. I'm going out of town

what excuses have you heard for someone to use to not come to work
Faking a car accident.

It's raining really bad and starting to thunder. I don't want to leave my child during a storm. So, I will not be coming in for my 12-hour night shift.My dog died 2 days ago.

I work for a homecare agency (staffing) so I have heard them all. Someone recently called out for her shift because of a nose bleed.

People get away with these excuses?

I'm sick - caller ID shows name of hotel in Niagara Falls. Hint - if you are going to "fake" call in sick because you forgot you had to work and went on vacation instead, at least call in "sick" from your cell phone!One our of night shift workers will frquently call in sick for the the 1st 4 hours of her 12 hour night shift, but be able to come in for the last 8. Still haven't figured that one out yet!

One of my co-workers 'don't feel up to coming in today'. If ONLY I could phone in sick every time I felt like not going to work!

1. My wife beat me up and is in jail. Our local jail posts inmates online and this was true!! How embarassing.2. I can't find my wife to watch the kids. (same guy from above)3. It is cold, icy, or starting to snow so I can't drive in to work. This person lives in town and we never get more then 3 inches of snow.

my co-worker doesn't report to work for 2 days, doesn't even call, then comes back and says he couldn't get a signal where he was to inform us of his absence!

One of my nurses called in to say her car windows had been smashed by would-be thieves, so she couldn't come to work. Problem was, the previous day (Thursday) she told another nurse she would be taking the following day off...
