Hi. I would like to get some idea about working as an rn in labor and delivery. I am currently working in an ortho floor and wanted to experience working in other nursing specialty which is labor and delivery. No experience in L&d whatsoever but very willing to work with expecting moms and babies. What tips can u give for my interview? What do I need to expect in working in l&d? What things do I need to study, familiarize to make it easier for me to adjust in a new area of work? Thanks in advance for ur ideas.

I'm in the same boat. But I'm working in northern canada.

Looking forward to working in L&D in the future... For now I keep going to AWHONN, Lactation and pediatrics conferences...
