CEU's

Where do I go to get the 30 needed CEU's to continue my license. I have never had to do these before but am in new state now. Where do I get them??????????

If you are employed in a hospital, contact your education department for information about free CE offerings that may be available for employees. They can also provide you with sources of CE online. If you are a member of a professional nursing organization, they usually provide some CE benefits. FYI, you may be able to claim CE hours for ACLS or other mandatory programs - depending on your one BoN rules. You can also claim CE for some formal education if you are enrolled in school to advance your nursing education. Review your BoN rules to make sure you know what courses are eligible and the process for 'claiming' CE on your license renewal - usually, you just have to attest that you have obtained them, but make sure that the evidence (certificates, transcripts, etc) is available in case you are randomly audited.
