Should I go back for the BSN MBA or MHA?

I have an associate degree in nursing and I have practiced nursing nearly 20 years at the bedside. I am ready for a change. First of all, I am not interested in any nursing management career. I would like to work in some type of health care administration job. I'm just not sure what my options are. I definitely want to go back to school but I don't feel the need for a BSN since I want to get out of nursing. I already have a Bachelor's degree in another field, so if I go back I want a masters. Please help, I need your input!
I certainly support your intention to avoid management positions... NOT a good place to be, especially right now.I urge you to capitalize on your current expertise & obtain an MSN. This will certainly open doors for you. If you already have your (BSN) pre-requisites finished you should be able to find an RN-MSN program that will meet your needs. There are a ton of options. An up and coming specialty is "Quality & Patient Safety".. not very many MSN programs in this area yet, but I am sure they are coming soon as healthcare organizations are becoming much more data-driven. If you want to stay with your current organization, talk to your nurse executive about career opportunities & tuition reimbursement. that may be available.
