Phlebotomy Certification before NCLEX PN

It is so difficult to get a job out there in this "Obama" economy that I was wondering if it would be wise for a recent LPN graduate to earn a certification in phlebotomy at the simultaneously as the study for NCLEX. That way they will have some "hands on" experience and perhaps be more desirable as a new hire.
A certification really won't do you much benefit in the job search if you don't have actual phlebotomy experience
