big dilemma on working shift

Hi everyone i need some advice here. Im currently working 7-330 pm (8hr shift) in a psych hospital's outpatient program, very flexible managers and no stress at all. i have two little ones,a 2 yr old and a 3month old. Im really confused whether i should go for 12s shift or stay 8s. I got accepted at a university for my msn-psych np next spring 2015 and they require on campus attendance. i really dont know which schedule would work best for myself, my family, and school. help me out!
What does a typical class schedule look like for that program? My MSN program was geared toward working nurses & structured the schedule so that even full time students only had to be on-campus one day per week. We scheduled our own clinical stuff, and most of us did that on weekends. It would be very do-able for anyone on 12 hour shifts as long as your scheduler would work around the class days.

i dont have the schedule yet. all i know is they have evening classes. as much as i would like to work 12hrs i couldnt. i'm a nursing mom and 12 hrs shift is such a long stretch for me. its kinda hard ti weigh out what would work best. thanks for your reply though

It would depend on how flexible your current employers are and if they would allow you time off for clinicals/class. Can you cut back your hrs on your current job?
