ADN or BSN

Hello, I'm currently attending a community college out here in Louisiana. I'm one semester away from graduating in liberal arts but I'm not sure if I should continue finishing my degree in liberal arts, then go to a university and get a BSN or should I not worry about finishing the liberal arts degree and just get my ADN at the same community college, because I have two more classes of the prerequisites to be able to apply for the program. But my main goal is to get into grad school and get my MSN and become a nurse practitioner...

To minimize cost, time, and effort spent, you probably should direct your efforts toward admission to a BSN program. If that does not work, try the ASN program with the thought in mind that you would do an RN to BSN program in the future. You want to finish a BSN program now to save money and time and to minimize disruption to your work life. Better to get as much school over with before starting your nurse work life, and of course you should know that you get more bang for the buck, employment wise, with a BSN. Best wishes.
An adn would take much less time in money, but most jobs prefer a bsn especially if you have no experience,so it would be much easier to find a job as a new grad. Also I believe most grad schools require bsn
There are programs that offer RN-MSN/FNP. That would allow you to start working sooner. I don't know which way is faster or cheaper but it's an option.
