I graduated as an ADN in May 2014, passed the NCLEX and got my first job at a skilled nursing facility in Late September. It's okay, a very dysfunctional management team/DON. We never get out on time...always stay over an hour or two (total of 14 hrs) just to get everything done. I'm constantly nervous about my license thinking about what if something happens when I'm with one of my other 22 patients...Kinda seems to be on par with other stories I've heard about SNF's. I'm currently in an RN to BSN program and am hoping that once I've completed that, I will be considered for hospital positions. I'm getting a bit burnt out with the whole SNF situation. My question is, if I would switch to home health, would that look bad on a resume for a potential hospital position? Would you gut it up and stay for the "experience"?
