Is it ok to call and ask?

I graduated from PN school last week and am awaiting my ATT. I'd like to work as a nurses aide (although I haven't taken the certification test) until I can get my license. If I call personal at some LTC places to ask about this do you think I'll come off as being annoying? I just hate to waste time and money on gas if it's going to be in vain. Thanks for your opinions
It never hurts to ask, all they can do is say no.But, why bother with applying for a CNA position? Wait til you get your LPN then apply for LPN jobs in LTC.

Not many places will want to train in a CNA for the short period until you can work as a nurse.
