RN working 2nd job as CHHA

Hi,

I have been working as CHHA for 7 years, and recently I got my RN license and an offer for part time job (as a visting nurse at another home care ageny). Can I keep my present job as CHHA and work as visiting nurse at the same time. Are there any legal issues? Thanks
The only legal issue is that you are held to the standards of your higher license when you are working as a CHHA.

Legal issues.....absolutely. In my state you are held liable to the highest license you hold. Example, if as a CHHA you make a mistake, you will be held accountable as if you are a registered nurse even though you are working as an aide. Check with your state regulations because you worked to hard for a license that you should not be putting at risk!
