Amiodarone skin pigmentation

I was reading a chart about a pt who had been on amiodarone and didn't have greyish skin. I looked it up a bit, and I wondered if anyone has ever seen this phenomenon. How grey is it? It's crazy, some of the side effects meds can cause.

It's more of a blue...and it happens with long term Amiodarone use.

Crazy. Does it go away if the med is continued? I remember a story by Burton Rouche about a bunch of men who ate at a shelter and all turned blue after ingesting sodium nitrate.

I knew a pt who had been on high doses of amiodarone for years because he could not tolerate the shocks he received from his AICD. His skin was very obviously blue, but he had no other options.
