Paid ED training?????

Ok stupid I know but in my excitement in being hired to ED as a new grad, I never really got a true knowledge as to whether or not the 12 weeks of training is paid or not. I think it is however now too embarrassed to ask. Anyone who has gone thru ed training was it paid time? Thanks to all!
I haven't done ED training, but have trained on two different units in two different hospitals.... both times it was paid training. I am sure it will be for you! That's why hospitals don't like to see "new" people go... because of all the money/time they invested in training them! Good luck and congrats!

Thank you!

Yes, it's paid. When I went into the OR I actually had to sign a contract stating that I would complete 2 full years of employment in the OR following completion of my training or I would have to re-pay the hospital for what I was paid for my training. I think more hospitals are doing this because they train people only to have them run off to another hospital.
