Has anyone ever seen precedex drips used to calm anxious/confused patients outside the ICU?
No, and it would make me extremely uncomfortable.

No. I have see a few doses given in PACU.

NO! and I wouldn't accept a patient on the gtt unless they were in an ICU setting!

Comment:
My hospital's policy is they must be monitored. So ICU, PCU, or tele. And PACU is considered ICU level of care, so they could have it as someone else mentioned.
