Japan!

11 Hi all,

Hoping everyone is praying for the people of Japan! I cannot believe what is happening there!

Think of them when your complaining about your day, the price of gas, how much food cost, how ****** your paitnet's were today.... you get the point. Life can always be worse and when you compare our lives to that of the Japanese right now, it puts it all in perspective.

I feel especially bad, since it will probably be tough getting people to volunteer to go over given the nuclear situation.

Just say a prayer for them...

It's so so tragic. I'm so heartbroken for Japan. Seeing the pictures, and the news, it's just so overwhelming. I'm praying for them. They are a strong country. I'm thankful nobody who I know personally was harmed. But for the missing and the dead, I say a prayer. They will overcome this.

They're not necessarily even out of the woods yet. They're still getting aftershocks and tsunamis, and have a couple of nuke plants that might be of the verge of meltdown. It's hard to rescue survivors, recover bodies, and clean up after a disaster even when you don't have to face these kinds of additional perils.

You're right Happy - we have all turned into big, whiny babies. I find the world depressing an hard to live in - it's a very selfish, speed & greed attitude which is prevalent today. We can't have 2nd hand stuff - it all has to be new, new, new! Get yourself into credit card debt getting new clothes, rather than mending that tear in your shirt, or buying a 2nd hand car! Also you really NEED that plasma TV! And the kids learn the me, me, me attitude from the adults.I so wish I was over there to help out right now. At least they rescued 2 people yesterday, one was 63 so that is SOME good news amongst the gloom and doom.Praying for them all from Oz.
