Advice on my next moveRating: (votes: 0) Well actually I think it woudnt be smart to quit, I would work maybe PRN or find something less stressful (clinic, doctor office, home health, outpatient). Girl you gained so much amazing experience, you will be an asset anywhere and I repeat anywhere. I work as a home health nurse (graduated may 2009), I quess you can call it sorta an atypical nursing job since I get to choose making my own schedule (I only have 12 patients per week though so I work for a short time mondays (I'm home early), tuesdays (very early). Wendsday and thursday I see most of my patients (busy days), I'm off friday, saturday and sunday.Right now I make 2200 after taxes (that is if I have 12 patients).Yes you can make more money in hospital but it is much more stresfull, also I'm doing my BSN at Kaplan University, I wouldnt recommend it thought because it is very expensive. Well, first of all, I think you should be more concerned about what's best for you than about what any future employer might think! If you want to stay home with your daughter and you can afford to do so, then by all means do so! Your daughter will only be young once! If you can afford to also pursue a BSN at the same time, then go for it. If you need the income, then I would start looking for another part time job ASAP. The level of stress you are describing is not good for you. Start looking for another job today, or if you can afford it, go ahead and quit and be a SAHM for a while.Best of luck to you!

Staying PRN is a good suggestion. Some places only require as little as 2 shifts a month.Only because if you quit entirely you may find it difficult to get back in later.
