i think i got pricked with a needle!

Something happened during my duty in the OR.

Our case is a 25 year old female and will ba having a C/s.. shes hepB and TB positive.
We did double gloving. Then during the procedure, as I was about to hand the suture lig to the doctor, she got it first and so i think i got hit or pricked by the needle. BUT i dont know im not sure though coz I checked the gloves after the procedure and it wasnt punctured. But i got hurt. and i didnt tell anybody. whjat do you think? you think i got pricked? im worried because i didnt have my 3rd dose of HEp.B.. please help..

I think you would know if you got a needle stick. I scrapped my finger with an unused needle once and I bled a lot.

Document with employee health just in case....

You may not be able to see a puncture in a used glove.Chances are you weren't exposed. You should report it anyway.Most facilities want that within 24 hours of exposure. You will be required to have your blood drawn @ the initial evaluation and several times over a 9 months period.Your call. Only you know what will give you peace of mind.
