Am i the only crazy one who feels this way?Rating: (votes: 0) I've already gone on vacation twice this year and am tempted to plan another vaca for this next week off that I have coming up. It almost seems like the only way for me to escape work is to go away... far away. Anyone else experience feeling this way? If I go away on vacation, I feel guilty. But if I stay in the area, all I do is think about work. Gahhh... How do you like your job? Also I can't seem to come up with what GMF stands for. Comment:

I got into nursing because I felt that way at my old job... am now blessed with four days off a week, and I relish them. But I also never spend a vacation week at home, always go somewhere. Usually Florida because it's cheap (my mom has a house in Sarasota). Do you work 5 days a week? I think I would feel that way if I did... but my 12's keep me sane, because I work 2 hectic days, and then have at least a day or two to recover!!

I'm with 86toronado...I get 4 days off a week. Sure working 7:00am-7:30pm stinks and can be a VERY long day but it is totally worth the four days a week I get off.

If you can afford to go away on vacation, then go for it! I don't think wanting to get away is weird at all -- it's nice to get out of your regular environment. I find when I take a "stay-cation" I feel guilty -- not about work, but about not spending more time cleaning my perpetually messy apartment. If I go away somewhere, that's not an issue.Take your vacations, and don't feel guilty -- enjoy!

Do you live in the USA?When you mentioned getting several weeks off a year, I wasn't sure.It this is your first job out of school, it will take time getting used to how a full time job eats up your time.
