i've had nso for more than 20 years; they also have a product for nurses in independent practice. i'd use them again in a heartbeat. be sure you read the policy carefully to determine what it covers: an error you made (or were alleged to have made) while you were covered by the policy only if you are still covered, or while you were covered by the policy even if you aren't now. get the one that provides you with your own lawyer (never, never trust an employer who says their lawyer will take care of you, really) because if they are protecting you, they are protecting themselves from having to pay out. the employer's lawyer will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat if it will save his client, the employer.
