Bellevue Hospital NYC

This has been on my mind lately for some odd reason. I have a book at home that says that Bellevue Hospital has 6 beds per room on med/surg units. Is that true? Also i have seen pictures of Bellevue Hospital ("The Cube")...how is patient units organized...the place looks huge.
Not sure if that is the case but it is/ was true at Kings County Hospital when I did clinicals there 20 some years ago. They have had renovations since then so I think the wards might be gone. If you think that Bellevue is Huge then Kings County would be massive. It is a campus with different buildings. They are both NYC HHC hospitals.Immediately after 9/11 there were huge tents set up outside to do the work of identifying the remains of the WTC victims. The NYC ME is stationed out of Bellevue. The tent is still therehttp://mobile.latimes.com/p.p?a=rp&p...=&postUserId=7

I do my clinicals at NYC Langone. There are only 1-2 beds per room on the med-surg floor. It is very spacious.

Quote from mjmccaDon't you mean NYU Langone? While it is across the street from Bellevue and probably shares some of the medical staff, NYU is a private hospital while Bellevue is a city one.

Comment:
The max # of beds I've seen in a room in Bellevue is 4. That does't mean 6 doesn't exist, but having been in Bellevue many times growing up (either for myself or for family/friends), I really doubt it.
