start up business or work from home

1 Just wondering what an RN can do to start their own business or work from their home. Tired of working for corporate a** holes who suck the life out of you and make you continuously work with fewer resources for their bottom line. I would like to work from home or be an independent contractor but am not sure where to start.

While investigating your options, don't forget to investigate the tax situation. You will need to make quarterly payments to the IRS and paying various types of taxes (most of which I can't remember). Sometimes self-employment loses a little of its luster when you realize all that's involved.

Get your npi number and have a private practice as an Rn. Work in homeecare and do the billing yourself. Its alot of work and very rewarding as well.
