If I Said on Here What I Wanted to Say.

46 I don't know if I am just hard hearted after so many years of nursing, or if I have just seen too many malingerers, or just too many people who blame their problems on anything and everyone but themselves. But if I answered half the posts on here with what I really feel, I think I would be thrown off.

I understand, I think after so many years in the health field you start getting more callosed because of all the BS that is out there. It doesn't make you a less caring person, just more realistic.

I personally appreciate kindness when I'm hurting.

Ha!!! Join the club! Most of the time I have to put my keyboard down, my manager/supervisor hat on, and walk away so I can come back and give a constructive answer......When I really want to say "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???" :smackingf"HOW'S THAT WORKING OUT FOR YA???" "WILL YOU STOP YOUR WHINING AND PUT YOUR BIG GIRL/BOY PANTS ON!!! "GROW UP AND OWN YOUR MISTAKES!!!! "WHO TOLD YOU THIS WOULD BE EASY??????" Thanks...I feel better!!!

As long as you are polite and respectful you can be honest. Sometimes honesty is a kindness itself.

heck, I have permanent demerits here because of saying what I was thinking. I think I called someone a butthead.

I actually said what I thought recently. The OP took it well, but the phrase, "Someone should have warned me about..." and insert the complaint , I just want to scream. How can anyone possibly forsee every problem a person could encounter and give them a warning. If they could, to what point and purpose would it serve? You wouldn't be as surprised, but you still have to take care of the situation to boot. Ack!http://allnurses.com/general-nursing...ad-638997.html

I have been very careful when being honest to speak very carefully (and it is soooo hard). I have thought, but not spoken that term many a time.

Ha, I probably wouldn't have lasted past my 1st post if I said what I really wanted to say.

I saw that thread and thought the OP took it well. I don't think she was talking about being warned that her life would suck, I thought she was referring to the BS that schools are dishing out about there being plenty of jobs. Although I had a job before graduation a lot of my friends looked for a while. Our school FAILED to prepare us for the job market. We were under the false impression that there were plenty of jobs out there. If it wasn't for allnurses.com I would have been another clueless newbies writing on the boards about not finding a job.Quote from JeneraterRNI actually said what I thought recently.
