Hi everyone,I posted a comment a week or two ago about quitting nursing. I'm a new grad with almost a year of experience, and I was thinking about using my degree to get into medical writing (I just don't know if nursing is the best fit for me). I seem to lack confidence with hands-on tasks and would rather be reading/writing and doing academic work. So, my other alternative is that I go for my Master's and stick with the research stream. Do you think having experience in home health care (intermittent visiting) is enough of a foundation as a new nurse? Should I be getting anoher year of experience in elsewhere? Torn between what I feel would make me happier, and what would make me marketable for the future...
If you already know what you want then go for it. But I think you would also benefit from getting more experience elsewhere so that way you can explore more opportunities in nursing that you may like enough to want to pursue a further education in.
