Does anyone know the answer to G-5 T-3 P-3 A-1 L-5? (GTPAL question)
Do you know what GTPAL stands for?

I know that much, but I cannot figure out if one pregancy was twins and one baby died?Thanks for the reply!

G= number of pregnancies, so in this case 5 actual pregnancies (it doesn't matter how many babies per pregnancy)T= the number of births at term (37 weeks or more). One more thing. P in this case =preterm. Wehn you are thinking of parity, that is the number of actual births. sometimes the letters are GPTPAL, but rarely. Usually if parity is considered, as in actual hospital paperwork, then they write it out. Also, someone might ask, "what is her parity?" which is like asking, "what is her GTPAL?" That would sound weird. So, they ask, "what is her parity?" and you would respond, "She is a G5, T_, ..." . let me know if that helps. Good luck.

Actually now I think about it that question can't be right. Because t3 means 3 of the pregnancies went to term, p3 means 3 of the preg were preterm, and she had 1 abortion out her pregnancies. With tht being said she was pregnant 7 times not 5.
