Difference between para and preterm in GTPAL

Good morning !

What is the difference between para and preterm birth in GTPAL.

According to my nursing coursebook -
para refers to the number of pregnancies delivered after 20 weeks gestation and preterm refers to the number of pregnancies delivered between 20 and 35 weeks gestation

I'm still confused
There is no para in the GTPALGravida/para and GTPAL are two different ways of describing an obstetric history. You already stated what the different is. Preterm is preterm delivery.
