Telephone Orders

Are nurses legally obligated to take a telephone order from doctors? Just curious.
Legally? I think it totally depends on your facility's policy, rather than on law.

Yes, what Klone said.I used to take telephone orders almost exclusively at my old job (I worked nights). Now I work at a place that has computer physician order entry, so I don't anymore.
