I want to know about titers and heptatits B shotsRating: (votes: 0) Can someone tell me how titers are done? And what happens during heptatits B shots? Will I get a shot in the upper arm area?? Your titers are done by a simple blood draw. Comment:
The Hep B is a series of three shots given in the upper arm. Not all that much to it. I got them done in elementary school.
Comment:
where do they draw the blood from the hand or the arm?
Comment:
On the arm, opposite of the elbow. You know the whole 'put the rubber thingy on your upper arm, find a vein, and stick' process. Not much to that either. Just a prick. You've probably had it done before at least one time when you've gone to the doc for a yearly physical. It can be done on the hand too, but I've never experienced it like that. Believe me, I've had at least 20 blood labs done in the last 2 years at three different facilities.

How long are Titers good for? are ones i got 2 years ago still good? or i gotta get em redone?
Comment:
If you had positive titers 2 years ago there's no reason to think your immunity would decrease so I don't see why they'd need to be redone.
