Nurse AbuseRating: (votes: 0) Not sure what rules apply to where you are, but what about looking into carrying a small recorder with you ( even most cells have voice memo recorders).... hit record every time you see her coming near you, and get her on tape threatening you?Just a thought. Comment:
This is what you call a "Borderline Personality Disorder" patient most likely. When we spot a borderline, Nurses are FORBIDDEN from entering the room alone. You will always need an extra set of eyes and ears to witness ANY interaction between the patient and staff.I know some facilities, especially LTC and LTACH have much less staffing- especially swing and nights- but, you will NEVER regret having someone to second that the care you gave was of a high standard, and within policy and procedure for your facility.Unfortunately these types take great care, and planning, but preparing for an attack is priceless when it comes. They will be just as prepared in their tactics, abuse, and complaints about you, however, if you play your cards right- It will be 2:1 in your favor.Good Luck, I know you will be fine with your concientious care.Boston
