What characteristics do you think a nurse needs?

I was wondering what characteristics a nurse should have?

I know every one is different.

I am A senior in High School and I am trying to figure out if nursing is for me.
I love the thought of being a nurse and helping people! I also love hospitals, such a rush!

Is it possible to get over the fears of getting sick from someone throwing up? or passing out!
I feel like you get used to it after you are around it all the time. Was anyone like this when they first started nursing? or should I stop thinking about nursing?
